Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen dan Pendidikan undergo a double-blind peer-review process conducted by a minimum of two independent reviewers. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure an objective and impartial evaluation. Articles that are accepted for publication will be made available online after completing the peer-review, revision, editing, and journal layout processes.
Before entering the peer-review process and prior to publication, manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin and other relevant offline and online databases. The screening covers the manuscript's title, abstract, and main text. Manuscripts showing substantial plagiarism will be rejected immediately. Cases involving possible redundancy, self-plagiarism, or minor similarities may be returned to the authors for clarification or appropriate revision.
The editor receives the manuscript submitted by the author through the journal's submission system.
The editor evaluates the manuscript to determine its suitability in terms of the journal's aims and scope, author guidelines, in-house style, completeness of the manuscript, and required supplementary materials. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected at this stage.
The editor conducts plagiarism screening using Turnitin and relevant offline and online databases. Manuscripts with substantial plagiarism may be rejected. Authors may be contacted for clarification when redundancy, self-plagiarism, or minor similarity is identified.
The editor assigns the manuscript to a minimum of two independent reviewers and provides the appropriate review form. The manuscript is evaluated through a double-blind review process in which the identities of the authors and reviewers remain confidential.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and submit their review reports to the editor. When revisions are required, reviewers may provide comments and recommendations to guide the authors in improving the manuscript.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editor's evaluation, the manuscript may be accepted, accepted with minor revisions, returned for major revisions, or rejected.
The editor communicates the editorial decision and relevant reviewer comments or revision requirements to the corresponding author.
If revisions are required, authors must revise the manuscript in accordance with the editor's and reviewers' comments and return the revised version to the editor without undue delay. A revised manuscript returned more than two months after the decision may be treated as a new submission.
